My Top 5 Favorite Cookbooks Trim Healthy Mama by Pearl Barrett & Serene Allison. This is not just a diet book but is a book FULL of great recipes to go along with the diet/lifestyle advice! The recipes are fairly simple, nothing crazy and since the book was written by mom’s of many most of these recipes will work for big families. My current favorite is the College Vegan Cookbook—I’m a vegetarian, and the cookbook has TONS of recipes I never even would have thought to look for!! They serve as excellent base recipes, like they’re a bit bland if you follow the recipe exactly, but you can add extra spices and stuff and make the recipes your own which I really like:).

About 30 years ago, my mom and I bought similar books that we wrote all our family favorite recipes in.
Later, when I got married and had children, this book was treasured and used so often that it became known as My Book or Mom's Book. This year, I decided to work with my /5().
